    El bordado en cañamazo y el punto de cruz son técnicas de bordado que siguen el mismo principio: bordar un diseño definido por cuadrados, cubriendo cada uno con un hilo de un color concreto.

    En un cañamazo o tejido impreso, solo tienes que seguir los colores del cañamazo y elegir el hilo del color adecuado para cubrirlos. Con un cañamazo para bordado contado (o en el bordado de punto de cruz), el diseño no viene impreso, sino que tienes un gráfico del diseño que te guía mientras bordas.
