When you buy the “Printed canvas only” option, all the above is included except the threads, and just a single needle. It’s the perfect option if you want to create your own color variation, or re-use threads and yarn you might have at home!

To be more sustainable, we consciously try to reduce the amount of materials used in packaging.

When buying more than one kit or canvas, we will always try to fit them into a single packaging tube or box that best fits their size, and as they are for the same person we will only include 1 printed needlepoint booklet.

However, if you buy a gift wrapping or add an order note at checkout letting us know that you are buying a gift, we make sure that the kits are shipped in individual packaging.

Project Type: Small geometric needlepoint kit based on an original wool embroidery by Sophie Taeuber-Arp, made in collaboration with the Fondation Arp. Beginner level.

Before she became one of the great names of abstract art, Sophie Taeuber-Arp was a textile artist, and this kit is based on one of her small wool embroideries, "Untitled", c. 1918, wool on canvas, now in a private collection. A photo of the framed original is in the product gallery.

Sophie stitched it in Victorian cross-stitch, and you can do the same, or use the traditional tent stitch. Small and soft-toned, it is a perfect, quick project for beginners.

A tiny piece of art history that ends as a small framed work for a shelf, desk or gallery wall.
