Encroaching Slanted Gobelin Stitch Instructions & Diagram
- Bring your needle from the back to the front of the canvas.
- Count three canvas holes up, then insert the needle in the next hole to the right.
- This completes your first stitch.
- Make another stitch parallel to the first one, repeating the same steps.
- Continue stitching across the row using this method until you reach the end.
For the Second Row:
- Count two canvas holes down from your last stitch.
- Insert the needle from the back to the front on the next canvas hole to the left.
- To complete the stitch, count three holes up and insert the needle one hole to the right - this should place your needle in between two stitches from the previous row, creating the encroaching effect.
