The Diagonal Scotch Stitch is a variant of the Scotch Stitch, but where the squares are placed diagonally, intersecting each other on the corners.

You can see the diagram of this stitch bellow.
- The stitches are worked over one canvas thread, over two, over three and then over two again, and so on, until the end of the row.
- This stitch is worked from top to bottom (diagonally) in one row, and from the bottom to top in the next one, alternately.
